Just because I love you guys so much, and because I love music even more when I know I can share it with people who’ll appreciate it. For this weekend I have from not 3 but 4 different artists. I chose to feature four because I just couldn’t choose which ones not to mention in this article, so I thought what the heck, there’s enough space in a weekend for four really talented musicians.
The singular power of Elenowen comes from the bond that can only exist between two people who’ve known – and loved – each other for most of their lives. Pulling Back The Veil (2010) chronicled their first year of marriage with songs that were subsequently showcased on TV shows like ‘One Tree Hill’ and MTV’s ‘World Of Jenks’ and quickly garnered a strong following. The five tracks on their new EP showcase the evolution of their sound and convey what’s most real to audiences.
Andrew Bird first picked up a violin at age four and proceeded to spend his formative years soaking up classical repertoire completely by ear. As a teen, Bird mastered the sounds of early jazz, country blues and gypsy music. All these influences still percolate within Bird’s brand of pop, but he has established a sound that is distinctly his own.
The Ludlow Thieves. The energy of roaring lions and lovemaking llamas channeled through a gospel singer from Iowa, the indigenous rhythmic flare of Manhattan, and a guitarist’s tongue… If you’re a Led Zeppelin fan, you’ll love this!
Poema are two sisters Elle & Shealeen Puckett, hailing from Albuquerque. They like pop, folk, country, and alternative influences, and love to write songs that speak to people. Their first EP “Sing It Now” gives you a beginning look at their band. They had a great opportunity to hit the road for the Girlz Garage stage on Vans Warped Tour and got to meet a lot of new fans. September 11th, 2012 they will release our debut full length album “Remembering You.”
